8U Travel Cross Ice Mites

8U (Birth Years 2014 & 2015)

Program Description

2 practices per week

Typically one game per weekend (depending on the number of teams in our division). Games are played both home and away with  teams across the state.

GSL games are played on half ice with three 15 minute periods.  Round robin format (we play a different team each period).  It also includes an end of season weekend long Jamboree event.  We also participate in a Pond Hockey tournament held at Purity Springs Resort in Madison in January.

This program follows USA Hockey development (ADM) age specific standards during practice sessions.  Geared to teach the fundamentals needed for your player to begin their hockey career.

From New Hampshire Amatuer Hockey Association (NHAHA) on the 8U Cross-Ice Granite State League

"The 8U Cross-Ice has two main goals: maximize player development and build a passion for the
game of hockey. The intention is to promote play on a smaller ice surface while introducing
competition at 8U level and the experience of playing against other association teams. To
maximize the player development there will be a balance distribution with the teams across
        multiple divisions."

Player Tuition  $200.00
